AutoCAD LT is the AutoCAD version in the budget and has all the basic features, like external referencing, tool palettes, and printing/plotting in 2D. AutoCAD LT enables you to create and edit blocks, use them as PDFs, and upload documents to AutoCAD WS that can be operated with mobile apps. 

AutoCAD LT works with layers, and its block creation and editing are compatible only with AutoCAD Windows version and not with Macs. Also, it is only compatible with Windows because the DWG converter allows AutoCAD-based applications for drawings to be interpreted to AutoCAD.
